Cover Reveal: CRUEL CROWN

We all remember Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, right? And how there are two new e-novellas coming out?  Queen Song and Steel Scars? (You can see their cover reveals here.)

Well, for you guys who prefer physical copies over ecopies (like me), fear not! They've just released information that the two novellas will be combined into one paperback book, titled Cruel Crown. And it looks a little like this:
Isn't it pretty? And, like always, onto my rambling about the cover...

1. That crown! We haven't seen it before! If you remember, the crown on Queen Song is the same as Glass Sword, and the crown on Steel Scars is the same as the one on Red Queen. Which is why I'm super excited with this new crown! Could this possibly be the same crown on the third book?
2. That ring of red blood...that is just too cool. And it's bleeding, drops of blood sinking into the silver water (blood?)
3. I love the tiny airborne drops of silver and red blood. It has that sense of being splashed, like the covers of Queen Song and Steel Scars, but more so the aftermath of being splashed.

All in all, I think it's a gorgeous cover. My favourite of the series so far! What do you guys think? Which cover is your favourite?

Don't forget to check this book out when it hits shelves January 5th, 2016!

Official blurb (Goodreads)
Two women on either side of the Silver-Red divide tell the stories no one else knows.

Discover the truth of Norta's bloody past in these two revealing prequels to #1 New York Times bestseller Red Queen.

Also includes an exclusive excerpt of the hotly anticipated second book in the Red Queen series! Glass Sword transports readers to the world of Silver tyranny, a Red dawn rising, and one girl's resolve to break down the system that will hold her back no longer.

Queen Song
Queen Coriane, first wife of King Tiberias, keeps a secret diary—how else can she ensure that no one at the palace will use her thoughts against her? Coriane recounts her heady courtship with the crown prince, the birth of a new prince, Cal, and the potentially deadly challenges that lay ahead for her in royal life.

Steel Scars
Diana Farley was raised to be strong, but being tasked with planting the seeds of rebellion in Norta is a tougher job than expected. As she travels the land recruiting black market traders, smugglers, and extremists for her first attempt at an attack on the capital, she stumbles upon a connection that may prove to be the key to the entire operation—Mare Barrow.

  1. Yay more Red Queen cover reveals! I've been seeing Red Queen everywhere lately and I always have to stop and admire the cover, they're so pretty! Then I try and convince my friend to read it but she says no as she thinks she wouldn't like it. Then I nearly start crying and she laughs at me. Sigh. I'm going to go look at the covers again, they'll cheer me up :D

    1. What? Why won't she read it? She has no clue what she's missing! On the bright side, you now have 4 Red Queen covers to look at :) Don't feel sad!

    2. Basically, she doesn't read unless it's something really short with no magic powers etc and the fact that this book has fantasy elements turns her off :( That's why I love coming on here where people get my love for these books! :D
